The Frozen Throne keys cannot be used to play Warcraft III. The Frozen Throne was an expansion and it is now included for free in the base game: Reign of Chaos. Hi, I wanted to play WC3: FT after some time and went to the Blizzard download page. I knew that you can download official Warcraft 3 for free from that page. After downloading, I got promoted to the Launcher and it began installing "Warcraft 3 reforged". Note that I bought neither the old Warcraft 3 nor the reforged version.
Use classic Frozen Throne or RoC to train. It’s the same game, they are compatible and will stay compatible. Or else wait for custom games in beta next week (I guess). TBH you should not be treating the beta as a demo or a new player experience.
